Cotswold Run Weekend 09-10 Aug 2003
What a run, what a weekend! Over 100 MINIs participated in this event, which was successfully organised by soggycornflakes and washy of MINI2 fame.
It was one of the hottest weekends since records began, and about 70 people had to grin and bear the heat in a Northampton hotel that had no air-conditioning. Perhaps then, it should have been no surprise to anyone that the local watering hole, next door to the hotel, kept most overnighters entertained until the small hours.
The weather was cruel to those who participated in the run on Sunday - heavy showers and thunderstorms through out the day! However, the sun did come out in time for the picnic lunch, and, by the end of the run, everyone appeared to have enjoyed themselves.
At the end of the run, an Indi Blue and White MINI Cooper S was spotted in Cherwell Valley Services, and was immediately identified as a non-participant due to its spotless rear end!
There were too many highlights to be included in here, therefore, please visit MINI2.com for full details of the run (key search words = Cotswold Run). The main post-event thread can be found by clicking here.
Here is a collection of pictures taken during this very enjoyable weekend!
A MINI is not just a car - it is a way of life!
