MINI2 London Bridges Run Sunday 11 Jul 2004

Thank you for joining this run. Please print this page if neccessary.

If this is your first run, then please take a little time to read MINI Runs - Behaviour, Etiquette and What to Expect on MINI2.

* * * We should advise most strongly that you become familiar with the contents of this thread before joining a MINI Run. * * *

Run Route

The route of this run can be downloaded in Word Doc format can be downloaded here, and Autoroute format here. A step-by-step instruction list in Word Doc format can be downloaded here.

Please print a copy of the route and bring it with you, since only a handful of spare copies will be available on the day!

If you have any problems downloading the route, then please contact DK at

contact @ appletheminicooper.net.

* * * If you find yourself completely lost, then please proceed to Windsor Great Park and wait for the others to turn up. Sorry, we have strongly emphasized that this is not a run for the uninitiated! * * *

* * * A Big THANK YOU to Harpo of MINI2 fame for his help in mapping the route. * * *

Official Starting Point

The run will start at the Tesco car-park at Southwark: its full address is 107 Dunton Road, Southwark, London SE1 5HG. See the Multimap link here.

Please ensure that you have at least 0.75 of the car's tank filled with petrol, and be ready to leave Tesco's car-park in groups of about 10 cars at 10:00h sharp.

Official Finishing Point

The run will end at Windsor Great Park, where everyone will re-group in one of the large car-parks. A map detailing the main attractions and amenities of the Great Park can be found here. Please be prepared to pay to park your cars.

Official End-of-Meet Watering Hole

For those who would like to have a de-stress drink after the picnic, the official End-of-Meet watering hole will be the Wheatsheaf within the Great Park by Virginia Waters - a Multimap link can be found here.

Picnic Arrangement

The suggested picnic spot is by the car-park of Wick Lane.

Please bring your own picnic, unless you want to join the bring-and-share picnic being organised by DK, in which case, please visit this page to register your interest. (The deadline for notification is Wed 07 Jul 2004).

PMR446 (Walkie Talkies)

Please bring your PMR446 Walkie Talkies with you, since they will be used during the run to keep the convoy together.

We would plan to use the 6-0 (6 = main channel, 0 = sub-channel) channel, but this might have to be changed, so please confirm with your group leader before setting off.

If you are thinking of getting some PMR446s, then please visit this page on Apple's site for more information.

Contact Numbers

Contact Numbers for ButtonIt and DK can be found on the run route.

Wishing you a good MINI run and day out on Sun 11 Jul 2004!
